The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks (BPOE) headquarters was built in 1910. In the 80s it was sold to developers and turned into condos. The mayor of Alexandria convinced the Elks to leave the statue as part of the architecture of Old Town.

Project 365

Hi, I'm Teejay. This is the consolidated home of my Project 52 and Project 365/366. This started as a fun challenge to try to post a photo a day. It’s evolved over the years to multiple photos per day, then a short break, then a few photos weekly, and then back to a photo per day.
